Welcome

Welcome to Manuden Junior football club.

At Manuden we stress the importance of physical exercise fun for children in our local and near by community. We have excellent training facilities and fantastic pitches along with a committed set of coaches with the sole aim to bring the best of of the children under their care. Currently we are running teams for boys but we are looking into expanding our catchment to ensure we are inclusive and allow all the children in the local area to have fun no matter of their experience, ability or gender.

The club was founded in 2000 by our Honorary Life President Vaughan Atkinson. Vaughan ran the club for over 20 years and oversaw the growth and emergence from what was once 7 boys playing football on a green, to the club as it stands today. Vaughan will always be an ambassador of the club and we hope that he can now put his feet up from the day to day running of the club, to allow him to do what he enjoys most i.e. watching games of football and oversee us as we take HIS club forward.

"Success in grassroots football is to enable each child the opportunity to play and create
memories for a lifetime, we at Manuden JFC will strive to do this for all our players"

About us

Manuden JFC promotes football for all ages and abilities. We currently run a number of teams and will be restarting our Minis from September 2019. We are lucky to have some of the best facilities in the county - our own home pitches with superb drainage meaning far less cancelled games and our superb floodlit 3G pitch which enables year round training for all our age groups. We also pride ourselves on being a self funded organisation focused on nurturing local talent from our surrounding area.

Club Mission

Our aim is to provide a competitive community based football club for all ages and ability where children can have fun and build long lasting friendships in a safe and respectful environment. Junior football should above all else be fun. Fun for the children participating, fun for the parents watching and fun for all those volunteering their time to help make this the best club it can be. Respect for each other, respect for the opposition and respect for the game is at the heart of what we believe. We play to win but not at all cost. Priority is given to the development of children through sport. Football is used as training for life. In short respect, integrity, fair play, loyalty and friendship are the key to our club

Club Identity

Manuden JFC players are encouraged to be calm and composed in and out of possession of the football. Our philosophy is to teach players an attacking style of football which consists of building possession through the thirds of the pitch. Making good decisions with the ball to achieve a positive outcome.   Defensively, our aim is to create exceptional 1v1 defenders who understand their individual roles and responsibilities within a team environment.
