Coach: Giles Lock
Having stood on the touchline watching my eldest son play football for a number of years now, I am delighted to be able to offer something back by getting involved with coaching my younger son's team - the U9 Rockets.
At U9 level, I firmly believe the football should be about fun and inclusivity, with all players having the opportunity to rotate though the varying positions on a regular basis. We will place a clear emphasis on team spirit and attitude, rather than on actual results. First and foremost, a successful season will see the team all enjoying themselves, while gaining a better understanding of positional awareness and the basics of attacking, defending and passing. If the results follow, then that's just an added bonus.
